Rhys Stanley is relishing his role as part of Geelong's dynamic new-look AFL ruck combination with Zac Smith.

Stanley is in his second year at the Cattery after crossing from St Kilda, while Smith also looks a rejuvenated player since being traded out by Gold Coast at the end of the 2015 campaign.

They will be favoured to give Geelong a clear ascendancy in the ruck in Sunday's clash against a Carlton side without Matthew Kreuzer, who is sidelined with a knee injury.
